- English(1) A person may acquire citizenship by registration where that person satisfies the Board on the conditions set out in subsection (2), (3) or (4).(2) The conditions for registration of a person are that the person-(a) has been ordinarily and lawfully resident in Eswatini,(i) for a continuous period of at least twelve months immediately preceding the date of application for registration; and(ii) for periods amounting in the aggregate to not less than five years during the seven years preceding the date of application for registration.(b) is of good character;(c) has an adequate knowledge of siSwati or English;(d) intends, in the event of citizenship being granted, to reside in Eswatini;(e) has adequate means for support whilst in Eswatini; and(f) has contributed and shall contribute to the development of the country.(3) A person who is ordinarily resident in Eswatini and has been so resident for a period of at least ten years and whose application is supported by a Chief after consultation with bandlancane or supported by three reputable citizens, may be registered as a citizen.(4) Citizenship by registration shall not be granted to any person under this section until that person has taken the oath or affirmation of allegiance in the Second Schedule or such other oath or affirmation as may be prescribed.(5) The person to whom citizenship is granted in terms of this section shall be a citizen from the date on which a certificate of registration as a citizen is granted.(6) In this section, “bandlancane” means a Chief’s council established in accordance with Eswatini law and custom. Zimbabwe
- EnglishSubject to section 36(2), persons born outside Zimbabwe are Zimbabwean citizens by descent if, when they were born—
(a) either of their parents or any of their grandparents was a Zimbabwean citizen by birth or descent; or
(b) either of their parents was a Zimbabwean citizen by registration;
and the birth is registered in Zimbabwe in accordance with the law relating to the registration of births. (Sec. 37)

- English(1) The people of the Federal Republic of Somalia are one, indivisible and comprise all the citizens.
(2) There shall be only one Somali citizenship, and the House of the People of the Federal Parliament of Somalia shall enact a special law that shall define how to obtain, suspend, or lose it.
(3) A person who is a Somali citizen cannot be deprived of Somali citizenship, even if they become a citizen of another country.

- English(1) The president may make regulations, not inconsistent with this Chapter,2 prescribing all matters which are required or permitted to be prescribed or which are necessary or convenient to be prescribed for carrying out or giving effect to the provisions of this Chapter, and for granting special immigrant status with full residential rights to non-Nigerian spouses of citizens of Nigeria who do not wish to acquire Nigerian citizenship.

Mozambique
- English1. A foreign person who has been married to a Mozambican citizen for at least five years acquires Mozambican nationality, except in cases of statelessness, provided that all of the following conditions are met:
a. that he or she declares that he or she wishes to acquire Mozambican nationality;
b. that he or she meets the requirements and offers the guarantees prescribed by law.
2. The nationality acquired by the spouse shall not be prejudiced by the declaration of annulment or dissolution of the marriage. (Art. 26) - Portuguese1. Adquire a nacionalidade moçambicana o estrangeiro ou a estrangeira que tenha contraído casamento com moçambicana ou moçambicano há pelo menos cinco anos, salvo nos casos de apátrida, desde que, cumulativamente:
a) declare querer adquirir a nacionalidade moçambicana;
b) preencha os requisitos e ofereça as garantias fixadas por lei.
2. A declaração de nulidade ou a dissolução do casamento não prejudica a nacionalidade adquirida pelo cônjuge. (Art. 26)
