- English1. The following provisions shall have effect until a law of citizenship is made incorporating such provisions—
a. any matter relating to citizenship shall be governed by the provisions of Annex D to the Treaty of Establishment;
b. any person born in Cyprus, on or after the date of the coming into operation of this Constitution, shall become on the date of his birth a citizen of the Republic if on that date his father has become a citizen of the Republic or would but for his death have become such a citizen under the provisions of Annex D to the Treaty of Establishment.
2. For the purposes of this Article "Treaty of Establishment" means the Treaty concerning the Establishment of the Republic of Cyprus between the Republic, the Kingdom of Greece, the Republic of Turkey and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Εν τω παρόντι άρθρω «συνθήκη εγκαθιδρύσεως» σημαίνει την συνθήκην μεταξύ της Δημοκρατίας της Κύπρου, του Βασιλείου της Ελλάδος, της Δημοκρατίας της Τουρκίας και του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου της Μεγάλης Βρεταννίας και Βορείου Ιρλανδίας, την αναφερομένην εις την εγκαθίδρυσιν της Δημοκρατίας της Κύπρου. - English(1) Any citizen of or over the age of twenty-one years and of sound mind who is also or is about to become a citizen of another country may renounce his citizenship of the Federation by declaration registered by the Federal Government, and shall thereupon cease to be a citizen.
(2) A declaration made under this Article during any war in which the Federation is engaged shall not be registered except with the approval of the Federal Government.
(3) This Article applies to a woman under the age of twenty-one years who has been married as it applies to a person of or over that age. (Art. 23) - Malay(1) Mana-mana warganegara yang berumur dua puluh satu tahun atau lebih dan yang sempurna akal yang juga ialah seorang warganegara negara lain atau yang hampir menjadi seorang warganegara negara lain boleh melepaskan kewarganegaraannya bagi Persekutuan melalui akuan yang didaftarkan oleh Kerajaan Persekutuan, dan hendaklah sesudah itu terhenti menjadi warganegara.
(2) Akuan yang dibuat di bawah Perkara ini dalam masa apa-apa peperangan yang dalamnya Persekutuan terlibat tidaklah boleh didaftarkan kecuali dengan kelulusan Kerajaan Persekutuan.
(3) Perkara ini terpakai bagi seseorang perempuan yang di bawah umur dua puluh satu tahun yang telah berkahwin sebagaimana Perkara ini terpakai bagi seseorang yang berumur dua puluh satu tahun atau lebih. (Perkara 23)

- English1. There shall be original citizenship and acquired citizenship in the Democratic Republic of East Timor.
2. The following citizens shall be considered original citizens of East Timor, as long as they are born in the national territory:
a) Children of father or mother born in East Timor;
b) Children of incognito parents, stateless parents or parents of unknown nationality;
c) Children of a foreign father or mother who, being over seventeen years old, declare their will to become East Timorese nationals.
3. Irrespective of being born in a foreign country, children of a Timorese father or mother shall be considered original citizens of East Timor.
a) Children of an East Timorese father or mother living overseas;
b) Children of an East Timorese father or mother serving the State outside the country;
4. Acquisition, loss and reacquisition of citizenship, as well as its registration and proof, shall be regulated by law. (Sec. 3) - Tetum1. Iha Repúblika Demokrátika Timór-Leste nia laran iha sidadania nanis no sidadania husun.

a) Os filhos de pai ou mãe nascidos em Timor-Leste;
b) Os filhos de pais incógnitos, apátridas ou de nacionalidade desconhecida;
c) Os filhos de pai ou mãe estrangeiros que, sendo maiores de dezassete anos, declarem, por si, querer ser timorenses.

- EnglishNotwithstanding anything in article 5, a person who has migrated to the territory of India from the territory now included in Pakistan shall be deemed to be a citizen of India at the commencement of this Constitution if—
