- EnglishThe official religion of Iran is Islam and the Twelver Ja'farî school [in usul al-Dîn and fiqh], and this principle will remain eternally immutable. Other Islamic schools, including the Hanafî, Shafi'î, Malikî, Hanbalî, and Zaydî, are to be accorded full respect, and their followers are free to act in accordance with their own jurisprudence in performing their religious rites. These schools enjoy official status in matters pertaining to religious education, affairs of personal status (marriage, divorce, inheritance, and wills) and related litigation in courts of law. In regions of the country where Muslims following any one of these schools of fiqh constitute the majority, local regulations, within the bounds of the jurisdiction of local councils, are to be in accordance with the respective school of fiqh, without infringing upon the rights of the followers of other schools. C. No law may be enacted that contradicts the rights and basic freedoms stipulated in this Constitution.
Second: This Constitution guarantees the Islamic identity of the majority of the Iraqi people and guarantees the full religious rights to freedom of religious belief and practice of all individuals such as Christians, Yazidis, and Mandean Sabeans. (Art. 2) - Arabicاولاً :ـ الاسلام دين الدولة الرسمي، وهو مصدرٌ اساس للتشريع:
أ ـ لا يجوز سن قانونٍ يتعارض مع ثوابت احكام الاسلام.
ب ـ لا يجوز سن قانونٍ يتعارض مع مبادئ الديمقراطية.

- English(1) Steps shall be taken to enable the Muslims of Pakistan, individually and collectively, to order their lives in accordance with the fundamental principles and basic concepts of Islam and to provide facilities whereby they may be enabled to understand the meaning of life according to the Holy Quran and Sunnah.
(2) The State shall endeavour, as respects the Muslims of Pakistan,--
(a) to make the teaching of the Holy Quran and Islamiat compulsory, to encourage and facilitate the learning of Arabic language and to secure correct and exact printing and publishing of the Holy Quran;
(b) to promote unity and the observance of the Islamic moral standards; and
(c) to secure the proper organisation of Zakat, ushr, auqaf and mosques. (ب) اتحاد اور اسلامی اخلاقی معیاروں کی پابندی کو فروغ دینا؛ اور
(ج) ز کوۃ ،عشر ، اوقاف اور مساجد کی باقاعدہ تنظیم کا اہتمام کرنا۔ (آرٹیکل ۳۱)
