- English1. The following provisions shall have effect until a law of citizenship is made incorporating such provisions—
a. any matter relating to citizenship shall be governed by the provisions of Annex D to the Treaty of Establishment;
b. any person born in Cyprus, on or after the date of the coming into operation of this Constitution, shall become on the date of his birth a citizen of the Republic if on that date his father has become a citizen of the Republic or would but for his death have become such a citizen under the provisions of Annex D to the Treaty of Establishment.
2. For the purposes of this Article "Treaty of Establishment" means the Treaty concerning the Establishment of the Republic of Cyprus between the Republic, the Kingdom of Greece, the Republic of Turkey and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. 2. Εν τω παρόντι άρθρω «συνθήκη εγκαθιδρύσεως» σημαίνει την συνθήκην μεταξύ της Δημοκρατίας της Κύπρου, του Βασιλείου της Ελλάδος, της Δημοκρατίας της Τουρκίας και του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου της Μεγάλης Βρεταννίας και Βορείου Ιρλανδίας, την αναφερομένην εις την εγκαθίδρυσιν της Δημοκρατίας της Κύπρου. b. bu Anayasanın yürürlüğe girdiği tarihte veya ondan sonra Kıbrıs’ta doğan herhangi bir şahıs, doğumu tarihinde babası Cumhuriyetin bir vatandaşı ise veya ölmemiş olsa idi Kuruluş Anlaşmasının ‘D’ Eki hükümleri gereğince Cumhuriyetin bir vatandaşı olacak idi ise, doğumu tarihinde Cumhuriyetin bir vatandaşı olur.
2. Bu Madde çerçevesinde "Kuruluş Anlaşması ", Cumhuriyet ile Yunanistan Krallığı, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti ve Büyük Britanya ve Kuzey İrlanda Birleşik Krallığı arasındaki Kıbrıs Cumhuriyetinin Kuruluşuna dair Anlaşmayı ifade eder. (Madde 198)

- EnglishNo person shall be a citizen of India by virtue of article 5, or be deemed to be a citizen of India by virtue of article 6 or article 8, if he has voluntarily acquired the citizenship of any foreign State. (Art. 9)

- English(1) Subject to Clause (9), the Federal Government may, upon application made by any person of or over the age of twenty-one years who is not a citizen, grant a certificate of naturalization to that person if satisfied—
(a) that—
(i) he has resided in the Federation for the required periods and intends, if the certificate is granted, to do so permanently;
(ii) (repealed);
(b) that he is of good character; and
(c) that he has an adequate knowledge of the Malay language.

- English1. Citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan shall be acquired and terminated, as prescribed by law and shall be indivisible and equal regardless of the grounds of its acquisition.
2. A citizen of the Republic shall not be deprived of citizenship, the right to change such citizenship, and also may not be expelled from Kazakhstan. Deprivation of citizenship is allowed only by a court decision for the commission of terrorist crimes, as well as for causing other grave harm to the vital interests of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
3. Foreign citizenship of a citizen of the Republic shall not be recognized. (Art. 10) - Kazak1. Қазақстан Республикасының азаматтығы заңға сәйкес алынады және тоқтатылады, ол қандай негізде алынғанына қарамастан, бірыңғай және тең болып табылады.

- EnglishEveryone bound to the Turkish State through the bond of citizenship is a Turk.
The child of a Turkish father or a Turkish mother is a Turk.
Citizenship can be acquired under the conditions stipulated by law, and shall be forfeited only in cases determined by law.
No Turk shall be deprived of citizenship, unless he/she commits an act incompatible with loyalty to the motherland.
Recourse to the courts in appeal against the decisions and proceedings related to the deprivation of citizenship shall not be denied. (Art. 66) - TurkishTürk Devletine vatandaşlık bağı ile bağlı olan herkes Türktür.

- English(1) Subject to the provisions of this Constitution, any person resident in Singapore of or over the age of 21 years may, on application being made therefor in the prescribed form, be registered as a citizen of Singapore if he satisfies the Government that he —
(a) is of good character;
(b) has resided in Singapore throughout the 12 months immediately preceding the date of his application;(c) has during the 12 years immediately preceding the date of his application resided in Singapore for periods amounting in the aggregate to not less than 10 years:
Provided that the Government may exempt any applicant from compliance with this paragraph —
(i) where such applicant has during the 6 years immediately preceding the date of his application resided in Singapore for periods amounting in the aggregate to not less than 5 years; or
(ii) where in any special case the Government considers fit to confer citizenship upon such applicant;
(d) intends to reside permanently in Singapore; and
(e) has an elementary knowledge of one of the following languages, namely, Malay, English, Mandarin and Tamil:
Provided that the Government may exempt an applicant who has attained the age of 45 years or who is deaf or dumb from compliance with this paragraph.
(2) Subject to the provisions of this Constitution, any woman who is married to a citizen of Singapore may, on making application therefor in the prescribed manner, be registered as a citizen of Singapore if she satisfies the Government —
(a) that she has resided continuously in Singapore for a period of not less than 2 years immediately preceding the date of the application;
(b) that she intends to reside permanently in Singapore; and
(c) that she is of good character. (Art. 123)
