The right to education and to teaching [enseignement] are guaranteed. The State sees to improve [its] quality permanently.
Public education is gratuitous within the conditions established by the law.
Primary and secondary [moyen] education are obligatory. The State organizes the national system of education.
The State sees to the neutrality of the educational institutions and to the preservation of their educational and scientific vocation in order to protect them from any political or ideological influence.

Le droit à l’éducation et à l'enseignement sont garantis. L’Etat veille en permanence à en améliorer la qualité.
