- EnglishAny person who, immediately before the date of the coming into operation of this Constitution, was in receipt of any pension or other retirement benefit out of the public Funds, including the Widows' and Orphans' Pension Fund of the Colony of Cyprus shall on and after the date of the coming into operation of this Constitution, continue to be paid such pension or other retirement benefit out of the public Funds of the Republic under the same terms and conditions as were applicable to such pensions or other retirement benefits immediately before the date of the coming into operation of this Constitution or under terms and conditions made thereafter not less favourable to that person and applicable to his case. The power to grant any award under any pensions law for the time being in force in The Bahamas (other than an award to which, under that law, the person to whom it is payable is entitled as of right) and, in accordance with any provisions in that behalf contained in any such law, to withhold, reduce in amount or suspend any award payable under any such law is hereby vested in the Governor-General.

1. Persons with disabilities exercise the rights provided for in this Title under conditions of real and effective freedom and equality. The special protection necessary to exercise the rights shall be governed by law.
2. The public authorities shall advance policies to ensure full individual autonomy and social inclusion of persons with disabilities, in environments with accessibility for all, and shall also promote the participation of its organisations, in such terms as the law provides.
