- EnglishThe following are Hondurans by naturalization:
1. Central Americans by birth who have resided in the country for one year;
2. Spaniards and Ibero-Americans by birth who have resided in the country two consecutive years;
3. All other foreigners who have resided in the country more than three consecutive years;
4. Foreigners who have obtained naturalization papers decreed by the National Congress for extraordinary services rendered to Honduras;
5. Immigrants forming part of selected groups brought in by the government for scientific, agricultural or industrial purposes, who after one year of residence in the country fulfill the requirements of law; and
6. Foreigners married to Hondurans by birth.
In the cases referred to in numbers 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6, the applicant must previously renounce his nationality and indicate his desire to obtain Honduran citizenship before the competent authority.
Where there exists a treaty on dual nationality, the Honduran seeking to obtain foreign nationality shall not lose his Honduran nationality.
Likewise, the foreigner shall not be required to renounce his nationality. (Art. 24) - SpanishSon hondureños por naturalización:

4) Los que obtengan carta de naturalización decretada por el Congreso Nacional por servicios extraordinarios prestados a Honduras;
5) Los inmigrantes que formando parte de grupos seleccionados traídos por el gobierno para fines científicos, agrícolas e industriales después de un (1) año de residir en el país llenen los requisitos de Ley; y,
6) La persona extranjera casada con hondureño por nacimiento.
En los casos a que se refieren los numerales 1, 2, 3, 5, y 6 el solicitante debe renunciar previamente a su nacionalidad y manifestar su deseo de optar la nacionalidad hondureña ante la autoridad competente.
Cuando exista tratado de doble nacionalidad, el hondureño que optare por nacionalidad extranjera, no perderá la hondureña.
En iguales circunstancias no se le exigirá al extranjero que renuncie a su nacionalidad de origen. (Art. 24)

- English(1) Any woman who, after 29th November 1966, marries a person who is or becomes a citizen of Barbados shall be entitled, upon making application in such manner as may be prescribed and, if she is a British protected person or an alien, upon taking the oath of allegiance, to be registered as a citizen of Barbados.

- English1. Any man or woman who, after the fifth day of August, 1962, marries a person who is or becomes a citizen of Jamaica shall, subject to subsection (2), be entitled, upon making application in such manner as may be prescribed and, if he or she is a British protected person or an alien, upon taking the oath of allegiance, to be registered as a citizen of Jamaica.
2. A person may be denied registration under this section if-
a. there is satisfactory evidence that-
i. the marriage was entered into primarily for the purpose of enabling that person to acquire Jamaican citizenship; or
ii. the parties to the marriage have no intention to live permanently with each other as spouses, after the marriage;
b. the person has been convicted in any country of a criminal offence specified in any law which makes provision for such denial on the ground of such conviction.3. Subsection (2) shall not affect the right of any person who, before the 26th day of March, 1999, was entitled to apply for Jamaican citizenship by virtue of any provision of this Constitution in force before that date. Nationals are:
1. Those born in the national territory. The children of foreigners in diplomatic service, those of foreign functionaries in the service of international organizations or those sent by their government to fulfill work in Nicaragua, are excepted[,] unless they opt for Nicaraguan nationality.
2. The children of a Nicaraguan father or mother.
3. Those born abroad of a father or mother who originally were Nicaraguan, if and when they solicit it[,] once reaching majority of age or emancipation.
4. The infants of unknown parents found in Nicaraguan territory, without prejudice to, [should] their filiation become known, effects that proceed.
5. The children of foreign parents born on board Nicaraguan aircraft or vessel, if they solicit it. (Art. 16) - Spanish

1) Los nacidos en el territorio nacional. Se exceptúan los hijos de extranjeros en servicio diplomático, los de funcionarios extranjeros al servicio de organizaciones internacionales o los de enviados por sus gobiernos a desempeñar trabajos en Nicaragua, a menos que optaren por la nacionalidad nicaragüense.

- English(1) Every person who, having been born in Dominica, is immediately before the commencement of this Constitution a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies shall become a citizen of Dominica at such commencement.
(2) Every person who, immediately before the commencement of this Constitution is a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies—
(a) having become such a citizen under the British Nationality Act 1948 by virtue of his having been naturalised in Dominica as a British subject before that Act came into force; or
(b) having become such a citizen by virtue of his having been naturalised or registered in Dominica under the British Nationality Acts 1948 to 1965,
shall become a citizen of Dominica at such commencement.
(3) Every person who, having been born outside Dominica, is immediately before the commencement of this Constitution a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies shall, if his father or mother becomes, or would but for his death have become, a citizen of Dominica by virtue of subsection (1) or subsection (2) of this section, become a citizen of Dominica at such commencement. If the Governor-General is satisfied that any citizen of The Bahamas has at any time after 9th July 1973 acquired by registration, naturalization or other voluntary and formal act (other than marriage) the citizenship of any other country any rights available to him under the law of that country, being rights accorded exclusively to its citizens, the Governor-General may by order deprive that person of his citizenship.
2. If the Governor-General is satisfied that any citizen of The Bahamas has at any time after 9th July 1973 voluntarily claimed and exercised in any other country any rights available to him under the law of that country, being rights accorded exclusively to its citizens, the Governor-General may by order deprive that person of his citizenship.
