Political Parties
- English1. Citizens of Georgia shall have the right to form a political party and participate in its activities in accordance with the organic law.
2. Political party membership of persons enlisted in the Defence Forces or bodies responsible for state and public security, and those appointed as judges, shall cease.
3. The establishment and activity of a political party that aims to overthrow or forcibly change the constitutional order of Georgia, infringe on the independence or violate the territorial integrity of the country, or that propagates war or violence or incites national, ethnic, provincial, religious or social strife, shall be inadmissible. The establishment of a political party on a territorial principle shall be inadmissible.
4. The prohibition of a political party shall be admissible only by decision of the constitutional court, in cases defined by the organic law and in accordance with the established procedure. (Art. 23) - Georgian1. საქართველოს მოქალაქეებს უფლება აქვთ ორგანული კანონის შესაბამისად შექმნან პოლიტიკური პარტია და მონაწილეობა მიიღონ მის საქმიანობაში.

- EnglishIf a political party infringe one of the following stipulations, it shall have no right of continued existence:
(a) having been declared an unlawful association under the existing law;
(b) directly or indirectly contacting or abetting the insurgent group launching armed rebellion against the Union or the associations and persons determined by the Union to have committed terrorist acts or the association declared to be an unlawful association;
(c) directly or indirectly receiving and expending financial, material and other assistance from a foreign government, a religious association, other association or a person from a foreign country;

- English1. Greek citizens possessing the right to vote may freely found and join political parties, the organization and activity of which must serve the free functioning of democratic government.
Citizens who have not yet acquired the right to vote may participate in youth sections of parties.
2. Political parties are entitled to receive financial support by the State for their electoral and operating expenses, as specified by law. A statute shall specify the guarantees of transparency concerning electoral expenses and, in general, the financial management of political parties, of Members of Parliament, parliamentary candidates and candidates for all degrees of local government. A statute shall impose the maximum limit of electoral expenses, may prohibit certain forms of pre-electoral promotion and shall specify the conditions under which violation of the relevant provisions constitutes a ground for the forfeiture of parliamentary office on the initiative of the special body of the following section. The audit of the electoral expenses of political parties and parliamentary candidates is carried out by a special body which is constituted also with the participation of senior magistrates, as specified by law. A law may also extend these regulations to candidates for other offices held through election.

Citizens may exercise their rights individually or through political organizations, such as parties, movements or alliances, in accordance with the law. Such organizations participate in the development and manifestation of the will of the people. Their inscription in the corresponding register confers juridical personality on them.
Through the law[,] provisions oriented to assure the democratic functioning of the political organizations and the transparency concerning the origin of their economic resources, as well as their verification, supervision, control and sanction[,] are established.
The financing of the political organizations may be public and private. It is governed by the law in accordance with criteria of transparency and rendition of accounts. The public financing promotes the participation and strengthening of the political organizations under criteria of equality and proportionality. The private financing is realized through the financial system with the corresponding exceptions, limits [topes] and restrictions. Illegal financing generates the respective administrative, civil and penal sanction.

Los ciudadanos pueden ejercer sus derechos individualmente o a través de organizaciones políticas como partidos, movimientos o alianzas, conforme a ley. Tales organizaciones concurren a la formación y manifestación de la voluntad popular. Su inscripción en el registro correspondiente les concede personalidad jurídica.
Mediante ley se establecen disposiciones orientadas a asegurar el funcionamiento democrático de las organizaciones políticas y la transparencia sobre el origen de sus recursos económicos, así como su verificación, fiscalización, control y sanción.
El financiamiento de las organizaciones políticas puede ser público y privado. Se rige por ley conforme a criterios de transparencia y rendición de cuentas.
