- English(1) Freedom based on law consists of the least restriction on the activities of individuals consistent with the public welfare and the maintenance and development of Tuvalu and Tuvaluan society in accordance with this Constitution and, in particular, in accordance with the Principles set out in the Preamble.
(2) Everyone has the right to freedom based on law, and accordingly, subject to this Constitution -
(a) everyone has the legal right to do anything that-
(i) does not injure others or interfere with the rights and freedoms of others; and
(ii) is not prohibited by law; and
(b) no-one may be-
(i) legally obliged to do anything that is not required by law; or
(ii) prevented by law from doing anything that complies with the provisions of paragraph (a).
(3) This section is not intended to deny the existence, nature or effect of cultural, social, civic, family or religious obligations, or other obligations of a nonlegal nature, or to prevent such obligations being given effect by law if, and so far as, it may be thought appropriate to do so. - EnglishThe State shall create an Entity for the protection of the family, for the purposes of:
1. Promoting responsible parenthood through family educational programs;
2. Establishing educational programs for pre-school age children, in specialized centers, which children may attend upon the request of their parents or guardians;
3. Protecting minors, and the elderly, and accomplishing the social readjustment of those who are abandoned, helpless, morally misguided, or who have behavior maladjustment problems.
The functioning of a special jurisdiction over minors, which among other duties, shall take cognizance of suits concerning the investigation of paternity, family desertion, and juvenile behavior problems, shall be organized and determined by law. 1. Promover la paternidad y la maternidad responsables mediante la educación familiar.

- EnglishMarriage and the family constitute the natural and moral base of the human community. They are placed under the protection of the State.
The State and the public collectivities have the duty to see to the physical and moral health of the family and, in particular of the handicapped persons and of elderly [âgées] persons.
The State guarantees to families in general, and to those living in [the] rural milieu in particular [,] the access to the services of health and of well being. It guarantees equally to women in general and to those living in [the] rural milieu in particular, the right to alleviation of their conditions of life. - EnglishThe workers of both sexes have the same labor rights and obligations, but maternity will be subject to special protection, that will include the assistance services and the corresponding leaves of absence [descansos], which will not be less than 12 weeks. A woman may not be terminated [despedida] during the pregnancy, or as long as the leaves of absence for maternity continue.
The law will establish the regime of paternity licenses. (Art. 89) - SpanishLos trabajadores de uno y otro sexo tienen los mismos derechos y obligaciones laborales, pero la maternidad será objeto de especial protección, que comprenderá los servicios asistenciales y los descansos correspondientes, los cuales no serán inferiores a doce semanas. - English(1) Hungary shall protect the institution of marriage as the union of a man and a woman, established by voluntary decision, and the family as the basis of the survival of the nation. Family ties shall be based on marriage or the relationship between parents and children.
(2) Hungary shall support the commitment to have children.
(3) The protection of families shall be regulated by a cardinal Act. (Foundation, Art. L) - Hungarian(1) Magyarország védi a házasság intézményét mint férfi és nő között, önkéntes elhatározás alapján létrejött életközösséget, valamint a családot mint a nemzet fennmaradásának alapját. (2) Magyarország támogatja a gyermekvállalást.
