- EnglishThe Cuban State recognizes and guarantees to a person the non-renounceable, indivisible, and interdependent enjoyment and exercise of human rights, in correspondence with the principles of progressivity and nondiscrimination. Their respect and guarantee are obligatory for all. (Art. 41)

2 Whoever acts on behalf of the state is bound by fundamental rights and is under a duty to contribute to their implementation.
3 The authorities shall ensure that fundamental rights, where appropriate, apply to relationships among private persons. (Art. 35) - French1 Les droits fondamentaux doivent être réalisés dans l’ensemble de l’ordre juridique.

The dignity of the human being is sacred, innate, and inviolable; its respect and protection constitute an essential responsibility of the public powers. (Art. 38)
