- EnglishThis Constitution shall come into force on the day of publication of its official text in the Official State Gazette (Boletín Oficial del Estado). It shall also be published in the other languages of Spain.
WHEREFORE, WE ORDER ALL SPANIARDS, WHETHER INDIVIDUALS OR AUTHORITIES, TO ABIDE BY THIS CONSTITUTION AND ENSURE THAT IT IS OBSERVED AS A FUNDAMENTAL LAW OF THE STATE. (Final Provision) - SpanishEsta Constitución entrará en vigor el mismo día de la publicación de su texto oficial en el "Boletín Oficial del Estado". 10. To decide definitively on the constitutionality [exquibilidad/executability] of the international treaties and on the laws that approve them. To this end, the Government will submit them to the Court, within the six days subsequent to the sanction of the law. Any citizen can intervene to defend or challenge their constitutionality [constitucionalidad]. If the Court declares them constitutional, the Government may effect the exchange of notes; in the contrary case they will not be ratified. When one or several norms of a multilateral treaty are declared unconstitutional [inexquibilidad/unexecutable] by the Constitutional Court, the President of the Republic may only declare consent formulated [with] the corresponding reservation.

- EnglishThe Constitution is the supreme law of the land and prevails over any other legal regulatory framework. The standards and acts of public power must be upheld in conformity with the provisions of the Constitution; otherwise, they shall not be legally binding.
The Constitution and international human rights treaties ratified by the State that recognize rights that are more favorable than those enshrined in the Constitution shall prevail over any other legal regulatory system or action by public power. (Art. 424) - SpanishLa Constitución es la norma suprema y prevalece sobre cualquier otra del ordenamiento jurídico. Las normas y los actos del poder público deberán mantener conformidad con las disposiciones constitucionales; en caso contrario carecerán de eficacia jurídica.
La Constitución y los tratados internacionales de derechos humanos ratificados por el Estado que reconozcan derechos más favorables a los contenidos en la Constitución, prevalecerán sobre cualquier otra norma jurídica o acto del poder público. (Art. 424)

- EnglishThe Constitution will not lose its force and effect, even when its observance is interrupted by any rebellion. In case that by any public disorder [tastorno], a government contrary to the principles that it sanctions is established, as soon as the people recover their liberty, its observance will be reestablished, and in accordance with it and the laws that have been adopted [expedido] by virtue of it, those who have figured in the government emanating from the rebellion, as well as those who have cooperated with it, will be tried [juzgados]. (Art. 136)
- SpanishEsta Constitución no perderá su fuerza y vigor, aun cuando por alguna rebelión se interrumpa su observancia. En caso de que por cualquier trastorno público, se establezca un gobierno contrario a los principios que ella sanciona, tan luego como el pueblo recobre su libertad, se restablecerá su observancia, y con arreglo a ella y a las leyes que en su virtud se hubieren expedido, serán juzgados, así los que hubieren figurado en el gobierno emanado de la rebelión, como los que hubieren cooperado a ésta.
