- EnglishAll Powers, Authorities, and Functions which under any Act of the Parliament of Great Britain, or of the Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, or of the Legislature of Upper Canada, Lower Canada, Canada, Nova Scotia, or New Brunswick, are at the Union vested in or exerciseable by the respective Governors or Lieutenant Governors of those Provinces, with the Advice, or with the Advice and Consent, of the respective Executive Councils thereof, or in conjunction with those Councils, or with any Number of Members thereof, or by those Governors or Lieutenant Governors individually, shall, as far as the same continue in existence and capable of being exercised after the Union in relation to the Government of Canada, be vested in and exerciseable by the Governor General, with the Advice or with the Advice and Consent of or in conjunction with the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, or any Members thereof, or by the Governor General individually, as the Case requires, subject nevertheless (except with respect to such as exist under Acts of the Parliament of Great Britain or of the Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland) to be abolished or altered by the Parliament of Canada. - possess the Suriname nationality;
- have reached the age of thirty;
- not be excluded from the right of active and passive suffrage;
- not have acted in violation of the Constitution.

- English1. A person qualifies to be nominated as a candidate for election as President if that person—
a. is a citizen by birth or descent;
b. has been ordinarily resident in Zambia;
c. is at least thirty-five years old;
d. is a registered voter;
e. has obtained, as a minimum academic qualification, a grade twelve certificate or its equivalent;
f. is fluent in the official language;
g. has paid that person’s taxes or has made arrangements, satisfactory to the appropriate tax authority, for the payment of the taxes;
h. declares that person’s assets and liabilities, as prescribed;
i. pays the prescribed election fee on, or before, the date fixed for the delivery of nomination papers; and
j. is supported by at least one hundred registered voters from each Province.

- English(1) The President of Romania shall represent the Romanian State and is the safeguard of the national independence, unity and territorial integrity of the country.
(2) The President of Romania shall guard the observance of the Constitution and the proper functioning of the public authorities. To this effect, he shall act as a mediator between the Powers in the State, as well as between the State and society. (Art. 80) - Romanian(1) Preşedintele României reprezintă statul român şi este garantul independenţei naţionale, al unităţii şi al integrităţii teritoriale a ţării.

(1) The Federal President shall be elected by the federal people on the basis of equal, direct, personal, free and secret suffrage by men and women having suffrage to the National Council. If only one candidate stands for election, it shall be carried out in form of a voting. Art. 26 para 5 to 7 shall apply accordingly.
(2) The candidate who polls more than half of all valid votes has been elected. If no such majority results, a second ballot takes place. Votes in this can validly be cast only for one of the two candidates who have polled the most votes in the first ballot.
(3) Only a person who is eligible for election to the National Council and has completed the thirty-fifth year of life on the day of the election can be elected Federal President.

(1) Der Bundespräsident wird vom Bundesvolk auf Grund des gleichen, unmittelbaren, persönlichen, freien und geheimen Wahlrechtes der zum Nationalrat wahlberechtigten Männer und Frauen gewählt; stellt sich nur ein Wahlwerber der Wahl, so ist die Wahl in Form einer Abstimmung durchzuführen. Art. 26 Abs. 5 bis 8 ist sinngemäß anzuwenden.
(2) Gewählt ist, wer mehr als die Hälfte aller gültigen Stimmen für sich hat. Ergibt sich keine solche Mehrheit, so findet ein zweiter Wahlgang statt. Bei diesem können gültigerweise nur für einen der beiden Wahlwerber, die im ersten Wahlgang die meisten Stimmen erhalten haben, Stimmen abgegeben werden.
(3) Zum Bundespräsidenten kann nur gewählt werden, wer zum Nationalrat wählbar ist und am Wahltag das 35. Lebensjahr vollendet hat.
