The Nicaraguan State recognizes the person, the family and the community as the origin and the end of its activity, and it is organized to assure [asegurar] the common good, assuming the task of promoting the human development of all and each one of the Nicaraguans, under the inspiration of Christian values, socialist ideals, practices of solidarity, [and] democratic and humanistic [practices], as universal and general values, as well as the values and ideals of the Nicaraguan culture and identity. - English(1) Freedom based on law consists of the least restriction on the activities of individuals consistent with the public welfare and the maintenance and development of Tuvalu and Tuvaluan society in accordance with this Constitution and, in particular, in accordance with the Principles set out in the Preamble.
(2) Everyone has the right to freedom based on law, and accordingly, subject to this Constitution -
(a) everyone has the legal right to do anything that-
(i) does not injure others or interfere with the rights and freedoms of others; and
(ii) is not prohibited by law; and
(b) no-one may be-
(i) legally obliged to do anything that is not required by law; or
(ii) prevented by law from doing anything that complies with the provisions of paragraph (a).
(3) This section is not intended to deny the existence, nature or effect of cultural, social, civic, family or religious obligations, or other obligations of a nonlegal nature, or to prevent such obligations being given effect by law if, and so far as, it may be thought appropriate to do so. - EnglishParental authority (patria potestad) is the aggregate of rights and duties parents have in respect to their children.
Parents are obliged to support, educate and protect their children to ensure their proper physical and spiritual upbringing and development, and the latter are obliged to respect and assist their parents.
The exercise of parental authority shall be regulated by law in accordance with social interests and the welfare of the children. (Art. 59) - SpanishLa patria potestad es el conjunto de deberes y derechos que tienen los padres en relación con los hijos.

(3) For the purposes of this article, “discriminate” means to give different treatment to different persons attributable only or mainly to their respective descriptions by race, place of origin, political opinions, colour, gender, occupation, religion or creed, whereby persons of one description are subjected to disabilities or restrictions to which persons of another description are not made subject or are granted privileges or advantages which are not granted to persons of another description.
(4) Nothing in this article shall prevent Parliament from enacting laws that are reasonably necessary to provide—
