(2) A person shall be entitled to be enrolled on the electoral roll for a constituency delimited for the purpose of election to the Parliament, if he
(a) is a citizen of Bangladesh;
(b) is not less than eighteen years of age;
(c) does not stand declared by a competent court to be of unsound mind;
(d) is or is deemed by law to be a resident of that constituency ; and

(ঙ) তিনি ১৯৭২ সালের বাংলাদেশ যোগসাজশকারী (বিশেষ ট্রাইব্যুনাল) আদেশের অধীন কোন অপরাধের জন্য দণ্ডিত না হইয়া থাকেন। (অনুচ্ছেদ ১২২)

- EnglishParties, societies, political or professional associations, as well as religious societies, whether Islamic or pertaining to one of the recognized religious minorities, are permitted provided they do not violate the principles of independence, freedom, national unity, the criteria of Islam, or the basis of the Islamic Republic.
