The State shall take the necessary measures to raise the standard of living of workers, and to protect workers and the unemployed in order to improve the general conditions of labour, to promote labour, to create suitable economic conditions for prevention of unemployment and to secure labour peace. - English(1) Work is a right, a duty and a matter of honour for every citizen who is capable of working, and everyone shall be paid for his work on the basis of the principle “from each according to his abilities, to each according to his work”.
(2) The State shall endeavour to create conditions in which, as a general principle, persons shall not be able to enjoy unearned incomes, and in which human labour in every form, intellectual and physical, shall become a fuller expression of creative endeavour and of the human personality. (Art. 20) - Bengali(১) কর্ম হইতেছে কর্মক্ষম প্রত্যেক নাগরিকের পক্ষে অধিকার, কর্তব্য ও সম্মানের বিষয়, এবং “প্রত্যেকের নিকট হইতে যোগ্যতানুসারে ও প্রত্যেককে কর্মানুযায়ী”-এই নীতির ভিত্তিতে প্রত্যেকে স্বীয় কর্মের জন্য পারিশ্রমিক লাভ করিবেন৷

Work is a right and a duty.
All work merits a salary.
The right to protection, to security and to hygiene at work, is guaranteed by the law.
The right to rest is guaranteed; the law determines the modalities of [its] exercise.
The right of the worker to social security is guaranteed by the law.
The employment of children is punished by the law.
The State works for the promotion of apprenticeship and implements policies to help the creation of employments.
The law determines the conditions for requisition of personnel for the needs of general interest. (Art. 66) - Arabic

كل عمل يقابله أجر.
يضمن القانون أثناء العمل الحقّ في الحماية، والأمن، والنّظافة.
الحقّ في الرّاحة مضمون، ويحدّد القانون شروط ممارسته.
يضمن القانون حق العامل في الضمان الاجتماعي.
يعاقب القانون على تشغيل الأطفال.
تعمل الدولة على ترقية التمهين وتضع سياسات للمساعدة على استحداث مناصب الشغل.

Le travail est un droit et un devoir.
Tout travail mérite salaire.
Le droit à la protection, à la sécurité et à l'hygiène dans le travail, est garanti par la loi.
Le droit au repos est garanti ; la loi en détermine les conditions d'exercice.
Le droit du travailleur à la sécurité sociale est garanti par la loi.
L'emploi des enfants est puni par la loi.
L'Etat œuvre à la promotion de l'apprentissage et met en place les politiques d'aide à la création d'emplois.

- EnglishPeople who work have a right to social security. The State, through the social security system, guarantees adequate protection when a person finds themselves unable to work due to age, maternity, paternity, disability, or illness.
Likewise, in accordance with the law, the State protects grandparents or other relatives of minors in their care and attention.
In the case of a worker's death or retirement, the State grants similar protection to his or her family, in accordance with that which is established in the law. El Estado, mediante el sistema de seguridad social, le garantiza la protección adecuada cuando se encuentre impedida de laborar por su edad, maternidad, paternidad, invalidez o enfermedad.
Asimismo, de conformidad con la ley, el Estado protege a los abuelos u otros familiares del menor de edad, en función del cuidado y atención a este.
En caso de muerte de la persona que trabaja o se encuentra pensionada, el Estado brinda similar protección a su familia, conforme a lo establecido en la ley. (Art. 68)

1. Everyone has the right to earn the means of living by lawful work, chosen or accepted by himself/herself. He/she is free to choose his/her profession, place of work, as well as his/her own system of professional qualification.

- EnglishEach employee shall be entitled to remuneration enabling him/her to ensure a free and decent life for himself/herself and his/her family.
Maximum working hours shall be regulated by law.
Each employee shall be entitled to a weekly rest period and paid annual leave, and may not waive these rights.
