The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, after considering the proposed nominee for the position of Prime Minister, within a ten-day term shall propose the nominee for consideration and approval by the chambers of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The nominee for the position of Prime Minister, during the consideration and approval of their nomination in the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, shall present a program of action of the Cabinet of Ministers for short and long-term prospects.

- English(1) There shall be a Prime Minister who shall be elected as such by the members of Parliament from amongst their number in accordance with the provisions of Schedule 2 to this Constitution.
(2) There shall be, in addition to the office of Prime Minister, such other offices of Minister of the Government, not exceeding eleven or such greater number as Parliament may prescribe, as may be established by the Governor General, acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister.
