- EnglishFamily is the foundation of the Turkish society and based on the equality between the spouses.
The State shall take the necessary measures and establish the necessary organization to protect peace and welfare of the family, especially mother and children, and to ensure the instruction of family planning and its practice.
Every child has the right to protection and care and the right to have and maintain a personal and direct relation with his/her mother and father unless it is contrary to his/her high interests.
The State shall take measures for the protection of the children against all kinds of abuse and violence. (Art. 41) - TurkishAile, Türk toplumunun temelidir ve eşler arasında eşitliğe dayanır.
Devlet, ailenin huzur ve refahı ile özellikle ananın ve çocukların korunması ve aile planlamasının öğretimi ile uygulanmasını sağlamak için gerekli tedbirleri alır, teşkilâtı kurar.

- EnglishThe family, which is the foundation of society, shall enjoy special protection from the State.
§ 1º. Marriage is civil, and the marriage ceremony is free of charge.
§ 2º. Religious marriage has civil effects, as provided by law.
§ 3º. For purposes of State protection, a stable union between a man and a woman is recognized as a family unit, and the law shall facilitate conversion of such unions into marriage.
§ 4º. The community formed by either parent and his or her descendants is also considered a family unit.
§ 5º. The rights and duties of the conjugal society shall be exercised equally by men and women.
§ 6º. Civil marriage may be dissolved by divorce.
§ 7º. Based upon the principles of human dignity and responsible parenthood, couples are free to decide on family planning; it is incumbent upon the State to provide educational and scientific resources for the exercise of this right, prohibiting any coercion on the part of official or private institutions.
§ 8º. The State shall assure assistance to the family in the person of each of its members and shall create mechanisms to suppress violence within the family. (Art. 226) - PortugueseA família, base da sociedade, tem especial proteção do Estado.
§ 1º O casamento é civil e gratuita a celebração.
§ 2º O casamento religioso tem efeito civil, nos termos da lei.
§ 3º Para efeito da proteção do Estado, é reconhecida a união estável entre o homem e a mulher como entidade familiar, devendo a lei facilitar sua conversão em casamento.
§ 4º Entende-se, também, como entidade familiar a comunidade formada por qualquer dos pais e seus descendentes.
§ 5º Os direitos e deveres referentes à sociedade conjugal são exercidos igualmente pelo homem e pela mulher.
§ 6º O casamento civil pode ser dissolvido pelo divórcio.
§ 7º Fundado nos princípios da dignidade da pessoa humana e da paternidade responsável, o planejamento familiar é livre decisão do casal, competindo ao Estado propiciar recursos educacionais e científicos para o exercício desse direito, vedada qualquer forma coercitiva por parte de instituições oficiais ou privadas.
§ 8º O Estado assegurará a assistência à família na pessoa de cada um dos que a integram, criando mecanismos para coibir a violência no âmbito de suas relações. (Art. 226)

- EnglishThe workers of both sexes have the same labor rights and obligations, but maternity will be subject to special protection, that will include the assistance services and the corresponding leaves of absence [descansos], which will not be less than 12 weeks. A woman may not be terminated [despedida] during the pregnancy, or as long as the leaves of absence for maternity continue.
The law will establish the regime of paternity licenses. The national policy on population has as its objective to disseminate and to promote responsible paternity and maternity. It recognizes the right of families and of persons to decide. In this spirit, the State assures adequate programs of education and information and access to such means, that do not affect life or health.
It is the duty and right of parents to feed, to educate and to give security to their children. Children have the duty to respect and to assist their parents.
All children have equal rights and duties. Any mention concerning the civil estate of the parents and concerning the nature of filiation in the civil registers or in any other documents of identity[,] is prohibited. (Art. 6) - Spanish
La política nacional de población tiene como objetivo difundir y promover la paternidad y maternidad responsables. Reconoce el derecho de las familias y de las personas a decidir. En tal sentido, el Estado asegura los programas de educación y la información adecuados y el acceso a los medios, que no afecten la vida o la salud.
Es deber y derecho de los padres alimentar, educar y dar seguridad a sus hijos. Los hijos tienen el deber de respetar y asistir a sus padres.
