To see that the human rights provided for in this Constitution and in the international treaties, agreements and conventions on human rights ratified by the Republic are effectively respected and guaranteed, investigating either on his own initiative or at the request of any denunciation of which he or she becomes aware.

The generally recognised rules of international law, as well as international conventions as of the time they are ratified by statute and become operative according to their respective conditions, shall be an integral part of domestic Greek law and shall prevail over any contrary provision of the law.

The State has the duty to assure the dissemination and the teaching of the Constitution, of the Universal Declaration of the Rights of Man of 1948, of the African Charter of the Rights of Man and of Peoples of 1981 as well as all international instruments duly ratified and relative to the Rights of Man.
The State must integrate the rights of the human person into the programs of literacy and of teaching at the various scholarly and university levels [cycles] and in the training programs of the Defense Forces, of the Forces of Public Security and Similar [Forces].
The State must equally assure, in the national languages, by all means of mass communication, in particular by radio and television broadcasting[,] the diffusion and teaching of these same rights. (Art. 40) - French
L'Etat a le devoir d'assurer la diffusion et l'enseignement de la constitution, de la Déclaration Universelle des Droits de l 'Homme de 1948, de la Charte Africaine des Droits de l'Homme et des Peuples de 1981 ainsi que de tous les instruments internationaux dûment ratifiés et relatifs aux Droits de l'Homme.
L'Etat doit intégrer les droits de la personne humaine dans les programme de d'alphabétisation et d'enseignement aux différents cycle scolaires et universitaires et dans tous les programmes de formation des Forces Armées, des Forces de Sécurité Publique et assimilés.
L'Etat doit également assurer dans les langues nationales par tous les moyens de communication de masse, en particulier par la radiodiffusion et la télévision, la diffusion et l'enseignement de ces mêmes droits. (Art. 40)

- English(1) When interpreting the rights set out in this Chapter9, a court shall take an approach that seeks to achieve the purposes of the rights and the values that underlie them.
(2) In interpreting these rights, the court may consider the Shari'ah, international law, and decisions of courts in other countries, though it is not bound to follow these decisions.

Status of International Law
- EnglishWhen conflicts arise between normative-legal acts which form part of the legal system of the Republic of Azerbaijan (with the exception of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the acts passed by way of referendum) and international treaties to which the Republic of Azerbaijan is a party, the international treaties shall apply. (Art. 151)

The Council of State gives its opinion on the bills and proposals of law as well as on the amendments which might be proposed.
If it considers that a bill or proposal of law includes provisions which are nonconform with the Constitution, with the international treaties to which the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is a party, with the juridical acts of the European Union or with the general principles of law [droit], it mentions it in its opinion.
...
Except in cases of urgency to be assessed within the limits of the law by the Grand Duke, the Council of State gives its opinion on the bills of regulations to be taken for the execution of the international laws and treaties and for the application of the juridical acts of the European Union. If it considers that the bill of regulations is not in accordance with the norms of superior law [droit], it mentions it in its opinion.

Le Conseil d’État donne son avis sur les projets de loi et les propositions de loi ainsi que sur les amendements qui pourraient y être proposés.
S’il estime qu’un projet de loi ou une proposition de loi comporte des dispositions non conformes à la Constitution, aux traités internationaux auxquels le Grand-Duché de Luxembourg est partie, aux actes juridiques de l’Union européenne ou aux principes généraux du droit, il en fait mention dans son avis.

Sauf les cas d’urgence à apprécier dans les limites de la loi par le Grand-Duc, le Conseil d’État donne son avis sur les projets de règlement à prendre pour l’exécution des lois et des traités internationaux et pour l’application des actes juridiques de l’Union européenne. S’il estime que le projet de règlement n’est pas conforme aux normes de droit supérieures, il en fait mention dans son avis.
