To be President of the Republic, one must have reached the age of thirty-five, enjoy full civil and political rights, be a Cuban citizen by birth, and not possess any other citizenship.
One must also be under the age of sixty in order to be elected to a first term in office. (Art. 127) - Spanish
Para ser Presidente de la República se requiere haber cumplido treinta y cinco años de edad, hallarse en pleno goce de los derechos civiles y políticos, ser ciudadano cubano por nacimiento y no tener otra ciudadanía.
Se exige además tener hasta sesenta años de edad para ser elegido en este cargo en un primer período. (Art. 127)
