Status of International Law

    The Republic of the Union of Myanmar shall honour all legitimate obligations arising out of treaties or agreements which before the commencement of this Constitution have been in operation between the Government of the Union of Myanmar and the Government of other State, provided that such other State honours any reciprocal obligations towards the Union of Myanmar. (Sec. 456)

    ဤဖွဲ့စည်းပုံအခြေခံဥပဒေ အာဏာမတည်မီကာလက ပြည်ထောင်စုမြန်မာနိုင်ငံတော် အစိုးရနှင့် အခြားနိုင်ငံအစိုးရတို့ ချုပ်ဆိုအတည်ဖြစ်ခဲ့သော စာချုပ်များအရသော်လည်းကောင်း၊ သဘောတူညီချက်များအရ သော်လည်းကောင်း ပေါ်ထွက်လာသော တရားမျှတသည့်တာဝန်များကို အဆိုပါအခြားနိုင်ငံကလည်း ပြည်ထောင်စုမြန်မာနိုင်ငံနှင့် စပ်လျဉ်း၍ ထားရှိအပ်သော ပဋိညာဉ်များကို လေးစားပါက ပြည်ထောင်စုသမ္မတမြန်မာနိုင်ငံတော်ကလည်း လေးစားသည်။ (ပုဒ်မ-၄၅၆)

According to Sec. 377 of Chapter VIII- Citizen, Fundamental Rights and Duties of the Citizens: “In order to obtain a right given by this Chapter, application shall be made in accord with the stipulations, to the Supreme Court of the Union.”
