O‘zbekiston Respublikasida barcha fuqarolar bir xil huquq va erkinliklarga ega bo‘lib, jinsi, irqi, millati, tili, dini, e’tiqodi, ijtimoiy kelib chiqishi, ijtimoiy mavqeyidan qat’i nazar, qonun oldida tengdirlar.
Imtiyozlar faqat qonunga muvofiq belgilanadi va ijtimoiy adolat prinsiplariga mos bo‘lishi shart. (19-modda)

The State shall ensure equal rights and opportunities for women and men in the administration of public and state affairs and in other spheres of social and state life. (Art. 58) - Uzbek
Xotin-qizlar va erkaklar teng huquqlidirlar.
Davlat xotin-qizlar va erkaklarga jamiyat hamda davlat ishlarini boshqarishda, shuningdek jamiyat va davlat hayotining boshqa sohalarida teng huquq va imkoniyatlarni ta’minlaydi. (58-modda)
